Information reaching our desk indicates that police have arrested two people in connection to the robbery and murder of a security guard that occurred at Standard Banks in Kasungu on Thursday.

Confirming the news, Kasungu police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho said the two suspects are Malawians and over K30m was stolen in the heist.

In the morning, young people protesting on suspicion a Burundian was involved in the robbery and police have dismissed the issue saying none has been linked to the incident.
