Two Arrested For Stealing K1.1 Million From Employer In Mulanje

Police in Mulanje are keeping in custody two suspects for allegedly stealing K 1.1 Million for their employer.

Public Relation Officer for Mulanje Police Station Sub Inspector Gresham Ngwira said the two are Andrew Nankhuni aged 22 and Chikumbutso Maganizo aged 19.

The employer, Lyton Masamba has told Police that he employed the two suspects to be taking care of his cattle. On Saturday, 5 March 2022, he went to his business place at Nkando Trading Centre leaving the two suspects home.

Being alone, Nankhuni and Maganizo took advantage of the situation and went into the house where they stole the said amount of money and shared it between themselves hence the cause to their arrest.

The two will appear before court to answer charges of theft.
