Two Arrested for School Break-in and Theft of Education Tablets in Mzimba

Kafukule Police in Mzimba have arrested two men for breaking into a building and committing a felony therein.

Kafukule police station Spokesperson Sub inspector Masiku Manyungwa has identified the two as Macloud Moyo 31, and Dokoso Jere, 34.

Manyungwa said the two suspects broke into the headteacher’s office Kakululu primary School and went away with fifteen BEFIT tablets which were provided by the Ministry of education.

“Police detectives through intelligence gathering managed to arrest the two suspects and recovered eleven BEFIT tablets.

” The suspects also revealed in the course of investigations that they are also involved in several crimes including a similar case at Matala primary school where they went away with assorted items”, said Manyungwa.

All the items stolen at Matala primary school have also been recovered too.

The total value of all properties recovered is approximately 5 million kwacha.

The two currently still in Police custody will answer the case of breaking into a building and committing a felony therein upon completion of the investigations.

Macloud Moyo and Dokoso Jere both hail from Kazila Village, T.A. Mpherembe in Mzimba.
