Two Arrested For Possessing Human Tissues Suspected Of Dead Person With Albinism In Mchinji

Central West Region police spokesperson, Alfred Chim’there, has confirmed the arrests of two men identified as Mika Mayiko, aged 42 and Fradreck Tilawe, 48 for allegedly being found in possession of human tissues suspected to be of a dead person with albinism in Mchinji.

Chim’there said the two, were arrested at Lezinala village, in the area of Senior Chief Mavwere in the border district.

“In March this year, the two exhumed the bones from Keliyala village in Mozambique and buried them in a pit at the compound of one of the suspects pending for a possible market,” he said.

The two will appear before court soon.

Meanwhile, police are hunting for three other suspects including two Mozambicans in connection to the same.
