Information reaching this publication indicates a truck carrying 600 bags of fertilizer has been involved in an accident at Chauteka on the M1 road near Elephant rock while heading to Mzuzu.

According Mzimba police spokesperson Peter Botha, the track has disturbed transport operations since it has blocked the road.

He said motorists driving from Lilongwe to Mzuzu or vice versa must drive with caution to avoid accidents.
