Yesterday, Leader of the Parliament Richard Chimwendo Banda denied the allegations that Tonse Alliance administration is nepotistic.

Chimwendo Banda said the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) led administration does not employ parastatal heads along tribal lines.

He gave 10 parastatal heads who he said have been recruited from various districts from across the country.

Some of the parastatals mentioned include Silli Mbewe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lilongwe Water Board who comes from Mangochi, Gaming Board CEO, Rachel Mijiga from Mangochi and Tobacco Commission CEO, Joseph Chidanti Malunga, from Nsanje.

He added that Tonse Alliance was elected into power to offer equal opportunities despite the tribe job seekers are coming from.
