Dear judge Mbadwa,
We all now know that the arrest of Greg, the investigative journalist, was just a ruse to hide the real intentions of those pretending to foster the fight against corruption.
The real target is you know who, Marita! My lord, forget the noise of goodwill showered on her appointment and the apparent voice of support from the office that should really matter when the vultures wanted to throw her under the bus.
My lord, I don’t know why some section of society, especially praise singers, develop Goosebumps or their nervous system trigger sweat glands in large proportions every time Marita’s name is mentioned.
If your bosses are as clean as you claim, why do you always side with the “buyers” than the citizens?
It is now clear that some people are going to do everything possible or try every trick available to get rid of Marita.
These are the folk that have found themselves in compromising situation with lots of skeletons they corruptly acquired stacked in some secret cupboards.
My lord, the fight against corruption in Nyasaland can only be won if we allowed the likes of Marita to execute their work without some policing.
My lord, perhaps we can commence proceedings against those who have pretended to support Marita in public but have privately been sanctioning her removal.
Such double standards have no place in a democratic dispensation like ours.
The people who voted for Tokha Alliance (or is it Tokha Are Liars) thought this time the battle against corruption would truly be won.
But so far the rhetoric has not been matched with action as those derailing the fight publically wear political garb that is spelled Tokha authority.
One thing is clear though, my lord, how the administration will handle or mishandle Marita’s position has the potential of either denting the tenure of Lazaro and company or redeeming it altogether.
And getting rid of her, God forbid, would only signal one thing; the Tokha team could be deeply compromised.
My lord, the Tokha crew has an opportunity to regain public confidence or drag itself into something that will wreck its plans to implement promises made during campaign time.
Unfortunately time isn’t on the side of the Tokha Are Liars crew to be perpetually defending every foolish decision instead of developing the country.
My lord, the effort being made in derailing Marita is a distraction they can’t afford during their tenure because they are only succeeding in attracting public sympathy to her. Now the talk is; kodi iwowo akuopa chani?
My lord, the citizens’ mind on the state of corruption and those involved is already made and is not going to be stopped by any amount of praise-singing or any attack on Marita.
Regards,
John Citizen.
