Thugs have attacked and robbed a prominent lawyer John Gift Mwankhawa a vehicle, phones and other accessories at his house in Blantyre last night.

He has become a third lawyer to be attacked in three weeks.

Malawi Law Society President Patrick Mpaka and police have confirmed the development

Mpaka has since asked authorities to seriously guarantee Malawians maximum security as criminals seem to have taken hold of the running of state.

“We call upon the police to investigate the attack on lawyers Kajani Banda who later died at Mlambe hospital, Ralph Sauti who was injured on his both hands and now John Gift Mwankhawa whose property including a vehicle have been stolen,” says Mpaka.
