The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has said it has managed to arrest three out of the twenty two suspects that escaped from lawful custody at Phalombe Police Station in March this year.
Deputy National Police spokesperson Harry Namwaza has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Namwaza, the law enforcers have intensified investigations to bring all the suspects to lawful custody as a majority of them were not from the district prior to their arrest.
The twenty two, allegedly tampered with a cell door after floods induced by #CycloneFreddy hit Phalombe police station in March this year, according to the police.
