Three Arrested in Balaka for Possession of Fake Bank Notes Worth K72,000

Balaka authorities have apprehended three individuals over suspected possession of counterfeit banknotes totaling K72,000.

Balaka police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha identified the suspects as Mofolo Ndelemanani (25), Gift Frank (19), and Saidi Martin (34).

These individuals were also discovered with a printer allegedly employed for the production of the fraudulent currency.

The confiscated items included K20,000 worth of fake K5,000 notes and K52,000 in counterfeit K2,000 notes.

The suspects will appear before court soon.
