The Lingadzi Police in Lilongwe city have recovered some of the Radio Maria equipment that was stolen in area 43.
According to Lingadzi Police spokesperson Billy Chimbonga, the recovered equipment is valued at approximately K90 million, and three individuals have been arrested in connection with the theft.
The incident occurred 3 days ago when the suspects arrived at the location where Radio Maria wanted to be relocated in area 43.
They found a guard whom they assaulted before making away with the church’s equipment such as audio processors, mixers, and other items.
The arrested individuals are 50-year-old Chiyembekezo Chipakasa, 33-year-old Chiyembekezo Chipakasa, and 45-year-old Geoffrey Jossamu, with investigations ongoing to identify any additional suspects.
