Third suspect in the murder of an 8 year old child in Chikwawa nabbed

Police in Chikwawa have arrested the third suspect in the allegedly killing an 8-year-old boy and cut off his head which they offered it for sale.

The police have identified the suspects as Ekison Bima aged 20, Jestadi Tipa aged 33, and Aubrey Khambi aged 33 and the victim as Marko Chagaga.

The third suspect was Khambi who was on the run for over a week, until his arrest in a Blantyre.

The three are said to have convinced the boy to accompany him to a certain bush to fetch firewood where they ended up killing him and burying his body without a head.

Acting on a tip, the Police mounted an impromptu check point at Sorgin, where they intercepted Bima as he was allegedly offering the head for sale.
