GHANA – A 30-year-old teacher identified as Patrick Owusu Ansah aged 30, has allegedly  burnt down a primary school after complaining and expressing his anger over his delayed salary.

According to reports from Ghana, the suspect whose salary is rumored to have delayed for almost 4 months is said to have lodged many complains to his school’s headmaster to plead on his behalf but to no avail.

Prior to this tragic incident, the suspect’s colleague teachers said they were aware of his intentions towards the school building.

”We do not know if it is him that set this building on fire but he had threatened prior to this incident that if his salary was not paid before 6th March, he would take a drastic step”, a teacher of the said school disclosed in a conversation i had with her.

The police arrested the teacher for questioning.
