Police in Blantyre have arrested a taxi driver, Kennedy Kandulu, for allegedly causing death due to negligent driving.

Blantyre Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Ivy Mwalabu, has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Mwalabu, Kandulu hit the deceased, who is yet to be identified, yesterday near Masuku cemetery.

The deceased was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, where his body is being kept at the morgue, awaiting identification.
