The man lying on the ground collapsed after one slap upon being identified as the suspect that ran away with bags of raw chikanda at Nakonde Main Bus Station in Zambia.

Moses Silwamba, the man who slapped him told Chete FM news that the unidentified suspect returned to the bus station after two months.

It’s alleged that he stole the commodity which was bound for Nakonde from Shiwang’andu when he claimed to be the recipient.

Mr Silwamba says the suspect collapsed in an apparent attempt to feign his death and eventually hope to be spared but will face the police.

For those who may not know, Chikanda is a Zambian dish made from the boiled root tubers of terrestrial orchids also called chikanda.

The dish is often called “African polony” because it has a texture that resembles bologna.
