St Luke’s Clinical Officer Who Defiled His Daughter Granted Bail

Chief resident magistrate court in Zomba has granted bail to Moses Chinula, a former clinical officer at St Luke’s hospital accused of defiling his daughter.

Chief resident magistrate Austin Banda said the accused has a right to bail with conditions.

The magistrate has ordered the accused, Chinula to pay 50 thousand kwacha cash and produce two surities bonded to 200 thousand kwacha non cash.

Among other conditions, the accused has been ordered to relocate from his house, surrender travel documents, not to get in touch with witnesses and also to report to police every fortnight until the trial ends.

It is alleged that Moses Chinula 49, defiled his one year ten months daughter on 28 January this year.
