Southern Region Water Board ( SRWB ) has said that the board will need about K5 Billion to fix water infrastructure that has been damaged by Cyclone Freddy in the Southern Region.
SRWB Board Chairperson Brown Mpinganjira disclosed that the damage caused by the cyclone is immeasurable, saying it will take time to fix broken machinery and he appealed for donors assistance.
Mpinganjira was speaking at Mitawa CCAP Camp in Mulanje, when the Board donated relief Items worth K25 million.
Some of the items donated include Chlorine, Plastic Buckets, Sugar, Cups, Clothes among others.
In his remarks Reverend Alex Maulana thanked the SRWB for the timely donation.
