The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo has ordered removal of contents altered by the Chairperson of the parliamentary committee on agriculture Sameer Suleman on Wednesday which purpoted that the country’s National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) does not have maize.

Kazombo said the communication came from the speaker’s office after a thorough assessment of the report against what is on the ground.

The deputy speaker also said the Chairperson exaggerated in his presentation by adding other contents which members of the cluster committee did not discuss.

He has since urged Members of Parliament to desist from adding information to their reports other than what committee members discuss to maintain their integrity.
