Social activist Joshua Chisa Mbele has alleged that there is a plot to have him killed while in detention.

Chisa Mbele said this through his Facebook page citing that a tip from a well-wisher called him for heads up.

According to Mbele, the person who hid his identity told him to alert his lawyer of the planned fate on his life.

I received a phone call from anonymous. The phone number was withheld.

“I was asked if I were Joshua Chisa Mbele. To which I replied:  Speaking. The male voice on the other end advised that I should alert my lawyer. This was a well-wisher warning from inside. I will be killed while in Police Detention. The line was cut,” said Chisa Mbele.

He continued; “I indeed informed my Lawyer. I also informed ACB. I notified two Diplomatic Missions. I won’t disclose.”

Chisa Mbele who is well known for his role of criticizing government, said “Fighting Corruption is a deadly undertaking. Denouncing corruption in which Police Top Brass is involved is even more deadly. So many people have died while in police custody world over. I wouldn’t be the first.”
