Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that well-known musician Skeffa Chimoto, popularly known as the jamming machine is set to join frontline politics.

According to inside sources, ‘Chinamuluma Chakuda’ hit maker is set to contest in the forthcoming 2025 Parliamentary polls on Malawi Congress Party (MCP) ticket in Nkhotakota.

Director of Youth in MCP Richard Chimwendo Banda unveiled Chimoto during a political rally held at St Paul’s Primary School in Nkhotakota.

In his introduction, Chimwendo Banda said Chimoto is a true son of Nkhotakota.

Speaking in an interview with after the rally , Chimoto said he has been approached by a number of people to contest for the seat but : ” I don’t have anything to tell the people now, its not yes or no “.

Inside sources confided to this publication that MCP wants Chimoto to contest for a parliamentary seat, in Nkhotakota South East Constituency.
