Senior Prophet Mtupa’s prophecy on Flames comes to pass

The shameful exit of Malawi Nation Football Team, the flames in 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Race) on Tuesday did not come as a surprise to Senior Prophet Rodrick Mtupa who on December 31, 2022 prophesied that flames will not qualify for AFCON.

The highly respected God’s messenger Senior Prophet Mtupa of Holy Palace Cathedral International Ministry made the prophecy during a New Year Cross Over night of prayers at Comesa Hall in the commercial city of Blantyre.

In his prophecy, Prophet Mtupa said: “The flames will perform ‘miserably’ this year and  will not qualify for AFCON.”

Fast-forward today on Tuesday, flames were boated out of AFCON following goalless draw result against Ethiopia in Mozambique. The Patrick Mabedi side needed nothing short of a win to maintain their qualification AFCON hope.

Meanwhile, Guinea have scooped second place in group D and qualify for AFCON 2023 alongside Group Winners Egypt.

The 2023 AFCON is scheduled to be the 34th edition of the biennial African association football tournament organized by Confederation of African Football. It will be hosted by Ivory Coast for the second time, having first hosted it in in 1984.

This edition of the tournament was supposed to be the 3rd time taking place in the Northern Hemisphere summer since the 2019 edition to reduce scheduling conflicts with European club teams and competitions

However, CAF postponed this edition to 13 January and 11 February 2024 on 3 July 2022 due to the adverse summer weather concerns in Ivory Coast
