The body of Senior Chief Nthalire of Chitipa District will be laid to rest this coming Friday at his Nthalire Headquarters.

The late Senior Chief, real name Ackim Yotamu Kaonga, died at Mzuzu Central Hospital during the early hours of Tuesday, 17th January, 2023 after a battle with Acute Kidney Injury.

He was born on 13th January, 1965 and was installed as Traditional Authority Nthalire on 18th September, 2017. He was then elevated to Senior Chief Nthalire on 5th May, 2020.

He is survived by a wife, six children and four grandchildren.
