President elect William Samoei Ruto has sent a message to President Uhuru Kenyatta in his acceptance speech at the Bomas of Kenya after being declared the winner of the presidential elections that were conducted on Tuesday 9th August.
Ruto said that he acknowledges Uhuru as his boss and will build on the foundation that they put together to take the country to the next level.
Ruto further went on to promise Kenyans that in whichever way they voted, this will be their government.
He concluded by stating that for those who did anything wrong against them, there will be no room for vengeance.
Ruto had earlier in his speech thanked his close opponent Raila Odinga who was a no show at the Bomas for campaigns that they all dealt on issues and sold their ideas to the people of Kenya.
Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes which is equivalent to 50.49% of the total votes cast..
