Security firm donates K1m for children’s support

Target Security Group has donated K1 million to Children of the Nations to support the organisation’s efforts in providing needs for underprivileged children.

The firm’s chief executive officer Davie Kavinya said the donation made earlier this week is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

“We understand that it is the duty of everyone to support children to become productive citizens. That is why we came here to render our support,” he said.

Children of the Nations country director Lillian Khofi said the donation came at the right time when the organisation has introduced a community feeding programme.

“We have just introduced another programme where we go into communities to feed children and we were driven by the current hunger situation,” she said.

Khofi said currently, the organisation hosts 1 640 children in its campuses and 919 children in communities.

The organisation also supports 118 children in various public and private universities.
