Economic Freedom Fighters Members of Parliament, including Anthony Matumba, Natasha Ntlangwini were chased out of Parliament for causing chaos.
Matumba could be seen being dragged by security out as he tries to wrestle claiming that he want to go back and fetch his belongings.
Natasha Ntlangwini could also be seen angrily shouting at the security personnel inside parliament that they are protecting Cyril Ramaphosa who is accused of criminal activities, while chasing them out.
Ntlangwini argued that there will be no peace for Cyril Ramaphosa as they have made it their business to disrupt him whenever he appears in parliament.
For over an hour, president Cyril Ramaphosa could not address parliament as EFF kept on blocking him until the members were kicked out.
“They are protecting a criminal. He is having money under mattresses and you protect him. He is not gonna rest in this parliament. There’s 44 of us, there is no rest for Cyril,” she said.
Critics however argue that hooliganism should not be tolerated in parliament. This is however not a new phenomenon in parliament, as during the Jacob Zuma era, EFF were also vocal and doing the same to Zuma.
Malema stated that they have been respecting Cyril Ramaphosa, but now they are going to treat him the same way they treated Zuma.
Economic Freedom Fighters deputy president, Floyd Shivambu said the EFF has long declared that Ramaphosa is not God and must therefore be held accountable
“The National Assembly is making the same mistake they made in the past, this time in defence of a money launderer and kidnapper,” Shivambu said.
After an hour, president Cyril Ramaphosa began his speech with a giggle saying “I’m not sure about that”.
As Ramaphosa starts his speech, he calls on MPs not to be distracted. He says this is the “greatest disservice” to the people of South Africa.
