Reunion Insurance Company Limited has given K3 million to the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) as sponsorship for ts annual lakeshore conference to be held in Mangochi from August 31 to September 2.
Speaking in Blantyre on Friday when he handed over the cheque, Reunion Insurance Company Limited marketing and business development manager Miller John Joshua said IIM plays an important role in setting standards and promoting professionalism in the insurance industry through training and education.

“As a company, we believe the gathering will provide a platform for sharing of knowledge, experiences and networking,” he said.
IIM vice-president Reuben Kawelele Kamanga said the money will help in the preparation of the conference which will be held under the theme ‘Building resilience through insurance in times of economic turbulence’.
He asked other well-wishers to partner IIM to ensure the conference is a success.
The guest of honour and keynote speaker is expected to be the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Sosten Alfred Gwengwe.
