Rainbow Paints on Friday handed over K4.5 million to the Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) in support of their annual Lakeshore Conference scheduled for 26th to 29th October at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima.
Speaking in the handover ceremony, the company’s technical sales and marketing executive Wezi Chirwa said marketers play a big role in the nation’s development.
“This annual conference will offer marketing professionals an opportunity to refresh from busy schedules as they will get innovative ideas from guest speakers.
“We believe the gathering will serve as a platform whereby local and international speakers and attendees will be able deliberate on different issues that will help to improve our position as a country to better strategies,” she said.
IMM public relations director George Damson said the timely sponsorship will assist to meet some obligations towards hosting the conference.
He said: “Rainbow Paints has been our all-weather partner and they have been sponsoring our conferences for the past years.
“As we are still grappling with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and global supply chain disruption emanating from the Russia-Ukraine war. As marketers, we still are facing the responsibility to make sure businesses are striving.
