Rainbow Paints last week donated K2 million to the Institute of Marketers in Malawi (IMM) in support of their annual conference to be held at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi from 26 October to 29 October.
According to Rainbow Paints technical sales and marketing executive Wezi Chirwa said marketing plays a pivotal role in their business operations and, on a broader scale, contributes to the country’s economic growth.

“We take this role seriously and are committed to supporting the IMM in its endeavors to foster growth within the marketing industry in Malawi. We envision Rainbow Paints as an integral contributor to business and economic growth.
“We anticipate that delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to acquire innovative methods and techniques from leading experts in this field. This knowledge exchange will further enhance and solidify Rainbow Paints’ position as a formidable brand,” she said.
On his part, IMM vice president George Damson said the timely sponsorship will go a long way in making the conference a success.
He said: “Rainbow Paints has been a key partner of the institute over a number of years and we want to see the partnership continue to grow.”
This year’s event, which saw participation from over 200 marketers, revolved around the theme “Breaking Barriers: Marketing as a Catalyst for Economic Growth.”
