PTC Employees Hold Vigils In Blantyre For Severance Pay After The Company Was Sold

Following the sale of People’s Trading Center (PTC) to Tafika Holdings Limited, angry employees are holding vigils at the company’s headquarters in Blantyre, pushing for their severance pay and assurance on their jobs.

The employees are accusing their management of trying to dupe them the money they have worked for for the past years.

Representatives of the employees are threatening to close all the PTC shops in the country if their grievances are not addressed.

PTC Chief Executive Officer Ferdinand Mchacha is yet to speak to the employees but in a earlier interview, he confirmed that Tafika Holdings Limited has acquired 100% of the shares in PTC from Press Corporation Limited.

More details to come…
