Death has been announced of Austin Mkuwatha, father to self-claimed Prophet Austin Liabunya of Believer’s Gospel Assembly.

Prophet Liabunya has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“With great sadness, I’m devastated to announce the death of my father, Austin Mkuwatha at the great age of 90.

“To partners, ministry followers, staff at Lilongwe Central Hospital and friends thank you for all the support that you have rendered during the time of father’s illness,” reads in part the statement.

According to Liabunya, burial will take place at Bwanje in Ntcheu district.

Added Liabunya: “At this point our family finds strength on 1 Thessalonians 4:13.“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.”

“Our father will be laid to rest at Bwanje in Ntcheu district. We will continue to give you updates on the funeral program.”
