The Central Business District of Blantyre experiences a significant disruption as Prophet David Mbewe gathers support to register his newly formed political party called Liberation for Economic Freedom (LEF).

Amidst the bustling streets, the renowned leader of Living Word Evangelistic Church, Mbewe, leads a convoy of numerous followers in lorries and vehicles towards the Registrar of Political Parties’ office to acquire the party’s certificate.

The CBD witnesses a standstill of business activities due to the massive presence of Mbewe’s supporters flocking to witness the registration process at the office.

This event comes after Mbewe’s earlier plans to contest for the presidency under the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), pending the party’s upcoming elective convention.
