Information reaching this publication indicates that Peoples Party (PP) National Youth Director Ipyana Nthakomwa has resigned from the party with immediate effect.

Nthakomwa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the party has lost direction.

According to Nthakomwa, that only a handful PP members are benefiting from the Tonse Alliance government while millions of Malawians are facing unprecedented poverty, failing to buy kitchen- table products because their pockets are diminished with devaluation among others.

But the party’s Deputy Publicity Secretary Noel Chimpeni says the party will not be moved by his resignation and outbursts.

The Peoples Party is scheduled to hold its elective conference in August this year.
