Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church-The Jesus Nation founder Prophet Shepherd Bushiri says he is impressed with rebuilding efforts by Cyclone Freddy survivors he recently supported in Mulanje District.
He expressed the sentiments in an interview on Friday on the sidelines of a follow-up visit to monitor how the survivors are rebuilding their lives after rendering his support.

The ECG leader adopted and supported about 600 households from the Traditional Authority Juma area in the district by giving them money to rebuild their lives following Cyclone Freddy-induced floods.
Bushiri said: “I am very happy to notice that the survivors have made good use of the funds that we gave them to rebuild their houses, some from scratch.”
He said by using the money wisely to rebuild their lives, his donation has served its intended purpose.
In a separate interview, one of the beneficiaries Eliza Adson said she ensured that the money she received from Bushiri was put to good use by rebuilding his house.
“I received K1 million and I used it to buy iron sheets and other materials for the house,” she said.
During the visit, Bushiri also gave the households clothes and pledged to rehabilitate Namulenga Bridge in partnership with the district council and community members.
Mulanje District Council chairperson Thokozani Namoyo said they will ensure that the partnership to rehabilitate the bridge is for the benefit of people within the area.
