Pope Francis has chosen Very Reverend Father Vincent Mwakhwawa as the new Auxiliary Bishop for Lilongwe Archdiocese.

The Episcopal Conference of Malawi has officially confirmed the appointment in a recent statement.

Formerly the Vicar General of Lilongwe Archdiocese, Fr. Mwakhwawa also served as the National Director of the Pontifical Missionaries Society.

This appointment reflects the Pope’s recognition of Fr. Mwakhwawa’s dedicated service within the church.
