A police officer has been shot dead in Chileka during an organized police raid in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The police officer has been identified as Sub-Inspector Petros Mhango, as a member of the special criminal investigation department branch called LIBLA.

LIBLA is a joint anti-criminal taskforce of CID officers from Limbe and Blantyre Police Stations.
