There are running battles between the law enforcers and protesters led by Bon Kalindo in Mangochi with teargas canisters all over town.

Several government vehicles have been smashed by protesters who are now retaliating to the teargas being fired by the law enforcers.

This is happening after the lead organiser Bon Kalindo, has already presented a petition to the district commissioner Smart Gwedemula.

According to sources, several people have been arrested in connection with the violent incident.
