Police in running battles with Machinga TTC students, teargas all over

The law enforcers have this morning used teargas to disperse students at Machinga Teachers Training College (TTC).

The students blocked the Zomba-Liwonde Road (M3 Road) as part of demonstrations to force management to pay them their allowance arrears.

The students alleged that the authorities owe each one, K120 000.

Among others, students burnt tyres on the road making the road impassable for close to two hours.

Machinga TTC management is yet to comment on the matter.
