Police Hunt For Suspected Murderer In Rumphi

Rumphi Police spokesperson Sergeant Tupeliwe Kabwilo has confirmed that they have launched a manhunt for a man by the name Daniel Mahalo who is suspected of stubbing three people killing one in the process.

Kabwilo  said the sad incident took place at Mantchewe in Traditional Authority Kachulu in the district last night.

Sergeant  Kabwilo identified the deceased as Malani Mwabanga, 32 and the other two victims; Glory Mwabanga 27 wife to the deceased and Lusungu Mshali 22 all from the same village.

The two  were admitted  admitted to Livingstonia Mission Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Police are yet to establish the cause of the action saying investigations are still underway.

Meanwhile, community members have burnt to ashes the house of the suspect in retaliation.
