Police confirms arrest of two form four students found with MSCE exams in Mzimba

Two Malawi School Certificate of Examination candidates from the open distance learning School at Mzimba secondary school have been arrested for allegedly for sharing this year’s practical examination instructions papers on WhatsApp.

Mzimba police spokesperson Peter Botha confirmed the development Friday and identified the two as Dominic Ngala and Vincent Sakala, both aged 19.

Botha said the two, were arrested following a tip from the Principal Examination development officer at MANEB Mr Emmanuel Chafutwa that some students at Mzimba Open Secondary School were alleged to be sharing this year’s MANEB Practical Confidential Instruction paper through WhatsApp groups.

It is alleged that through the groups formed by the two, the candidates had shared confidential instructions for agriculture, biology and chemistry practical papers.

Over 150,000 students are sitting for this years Malaŵi School Leaving Certificate of Examinations at various centers in the country.
