Police in Lusaka have arrested unidentified man who attempted to steal K29, 000 from Airtel Money Agent this morning.

According to some eyes witnesses at the scene, the man who was driving Nissan Van 200 Registration number BAK 8412 approached a victim operating opposite JCS Market in Longacres with the intention of withdrawing the stated amount.

The suspect sent a message to the mobile money agent showing that he has withdrawn the money while it was not so.

The alert mobile money agent realized that it was a forwarded message and screamed for help.

The suspect was apprehended by the police officer guarding the JCS Market with the help of some members of the public when he was prevented from driving off.
