The Patriotic Front has with immediate effect expelled Matero Member of Parliament, Miles Sampa.
According to the letter written by Party Acting President, Given Lubinda to Sampa, by holding an illegal meeting and purporting to hold an Extra-Ordinary General Conference said, the actions amounted to extremely indiscipline and threatened the integrity of the party.
“Your gross misconduct in holding unauthorized and legal extra ordinary general conference is unfortunate and your continued defiance of the party directives and mutilation of the party constitution justifies the ultimate sanction”, part of the letter said.
“By virtue of the powers delegated to me to carry out the functions of president of the party and pursuant to article 61 (I) and (J), you are hereby expelled from the party for being in breach of regulation 29 (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the party constitution.
Meanwhile, PF Member of the Central Committee and Chairperson for Information and Publicity, Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba has confirmed the development to Nkani saying that, the party leadership has a duty to punish such acts of indiscipline.
“Although I was aware of this involvement of external forces, the party leadership has a right to act on these unlawful stunts”, Mwamba further says.
The party has since written to the speaker of National Assembly, Hon. Nelly Mutti to inform her of the deciding made.
