The quasi-religious body Public Affairs Committee (PAC) has said it is disappointed and discouraged by the country’s state of affairs in the fight against corruption.
PAC sentiment follows a move by the Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda’s application challenging the reinstatement of Martha Chizuma as Anti-Corruption Buraue (ACB) Director General.
Speaking in an interview with the press PAC spokesperson, Gilford Matonga, said events surrounding the Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General, Martha Chizuma, are a setback in the fight.
Matonga further said that the religious body will contemplate on meeting President Lazarus Chakwera to discuss the matter.
Chizuma’s suspension saga continues to attract mixed reactions among Malawians.
