PAC observes poor records keeping in various govt institutions

The Public Accounts committee (PAC) of parliament has observed poor records keeping among various government institutions as one of the key challenges affecting their progress.

The sentiments have been made as the committee continues to engage various government stakeholders to enquire on the on their performances in the 2019/2020 financial year.

Acting chairperson of the committee Ned Poya , has said that it’s time for institutions to consider using modern ways of records digitally.

Commenting on the matter after appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on public accounts,Stallichi Mwambiwa, District commissioner , Dowa district, said the council has managed to improve on its financial records reports which they have presented to the committee
