Nsanje police have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the suspected criminals responsible for the killing of 25-year-old Isaac Moses Mtonga.
His lifeless body was discovered yesterday in Chiphwembwe village within the jurisdiction of T/A Malemia.
According to Nsanje police deputy public relations officer Declare Mbukwa, the deceased had been socializing with friends at a restaurant in Nsanje market but had left to sell mangoes and failed to return.
His body was found by villagers with a deep cut on his forehead.
A postmortem conducted at the scene revealed that his death resulted from a severe head injury caused by an assault with a blunt object.
Isaac Mtonga hailed from Mkotamu village in T/A Malemia’s area in the district.
