Police in the northern region have said road traffic accidents and crimes have decreased since January to December this year comparing to last year.

Figures from the police indicate that 5,177 cases of crime have been recorded this year as compared to last year’s 5,587.

This year, 452 road accidents cases have happened compared to last year’s 1,171.

Commissioner of police for the Northern Region, Rhoda Manjolo has asked all officers in charge to work hand in hand with community member to make the festive season free from crime.
