There are no sign of demonstrations in Karonga district as Freedom Park, where demonstrations were initially slated to start from, remains empty.

Karonga Police Publicist George Mulewa also confirms that their office did not receive any communication of the planned demonstrations.

The protests were meant to take place in all districts of the country including Karonga.
