Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa has appointed Member of Parliament for Mwanza Central Constituency Nicholas Dausi as Acting Leader of opposition.

Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aisha Adams announced the development on Monday afternoon when Parliament reconvened for duties.

According to Adams, Dausi will be in acting capacity for a week.

Nankhumwa is currently in Blantyre attending to a two day Anti-Corruption Conference and other duties.

The leader of opposition is also scheduled to hold a mega rally at Nyambadwe Ground in Blantyre this coming Sunday.
