The National Construction Industry Council says it anticipates improved quality of construction works in the country due to the establishment of the Infrastructure Delivery Management Standards (IDMS).
This comes amid concerns of poor standards of infrastructure which is largely blamed on lack of instruments with which to monitor construction works in the country.
Chief executive officer for NCIC Gerald Khonje has said the establishment of the said IDMS will ensure that players in the construction industry live up to the specifics of their contracts as there are punishments that comes with flouting the same.
As Khonje explains, the establishment of the IDMS will also assist in resolving some contractual disagreements that ensue among stakeholders in the said construction industry.
