Nankhumwa gives Chakwera 14 days ultimatum to re-open ADMARC

Leader of Opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa has given 14 days to President Lazarus Chakwera to issue a directive that ADMARC depots should re-open in rural areas.

Addressing party faithfuls at Lunzu trading centre in Blantyre, Nankhumwa contends the current market prices that vendors are offering are too exorbitant, and far too high to be afforded by starving Malawians.

A 50 kilogram bag of maize is fetching between K30,000 and K35,000 in different parts of the country.
