Delegates have started to arrive at the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)’s National Governing Council (NGC) meeting in Mangochi.

Some of the notable people that have arrived include Leader of Opposition in parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa, Bright Msaka, George Chaponda, Dalitso Kabambe and DPP vice president for the centre Zelia Chakale.

Party leader Peter Mutharika, who is chairing the meeting, is yet to arrive.

The DPP’s Secretary General Grezeder Jeffrey is also not present at the meeting as she is said to be attending a court hearing regarding an injunction which was obtained by Billy Malata, against holding of the NGC meeting.
